Strategies for Sustainability

Dr. Dolores Cimini, Director of the Center for Behavioral Health Promotion and Applied Research at the University at Albany, discusses her strategies for sustaining a long-running prevention program.

The prevention program at her school has lasted for 30 years through 13 different school presidents.

"It's important to remember that in order to sustain a program we need to think about keeping it going from the very beginning on day one," Dolores said during the video.

"In addition to integrating our sustainability efforts into our strategic plan it's important to engage collaborators across our campus and in our communities," she added.
