  • Monday, May 8, 2023 1 PM ET “Talk. They Hear You.”® Campaign Relaunch Event
    NPW kicks off with the relaunch of SAMHSA’s “Talk. They Hear You.”® This national substance use prevention campaign helps parents and caregivers, educators, and community members get informed, be prepared, and take action to address underage drinking and other drug use in their communities. Join the “Talk. They Hear You.” team to get an overview of the campaign and hear from featured partners about how they’ve implemented it in their communities.
  • Wednesday, May 10, 2023 2 PM ET Communities Talk Prevention Success Stories Webinar
    Join the Communities Talk to Prevent Alcohol and Other Drug Misuse team for a prevention conversation that showcases and celebrates prevention success stories in four diverse communities. The conversation will highlight successful prevention strategies, such as participation in NPW, along with lessons learned. Since 2006, Communities Talk has provided prevention resources and planning stipends to thousands of community-based organizations, colleges, and universities to develop tailored strategies that work in their communities.

    Every day during NPW, you will be able to access several on-demand resources, including NPW- and #MyPreventionStory-themed videos; visually dynamic promotional materials; and a series of digital interactive prevention activities, including a prevention crossword puzzle, word search, and an ad libs fill-in-the-blank exercise to help you create your own #MyPreventionStory.
