What is it?

Ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic that has some hallucinogenic effects. Ketamine distorts the perception of sight and sound and makes the user feel disconnected and not in control.

Street Names

Cat Tranquilizer, Cat Valium, Jet K, Kit Kat, Purple, Special K, Special La Coke, Super Acid, Super K, Vitamin K

How is it used?

•    Injected
•    Liquid injected or mixed with liquids 
•    Powder that is snorted or smoked

How does it affect the body?

  • Hallucinatory effects last 30-60 minutes
  • Distorts sights and sounds
  • Induces feelings of calmness and relaxation, relief from pain
  • Immobility and amnesia
  • Body feels out of control
  • Agitation, depression, dangerously slowed breathing, unconsciousness
  • Hallucinations
  • Flashbacks
