National Prevention Week is May 13-19, 2018
National Prevention Week (NPW), hosted by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), is an annual national health observance focused on increasing the prevention of substance use and the promotion of mental health. Each year, communities and organizations across the country come together to raise awareness about the importance of substance use prevention and mental health promotion. This year’s theme is “Action Today. Healthier Tomorrow.”
There are many ways for organizations and individuals to get involved during NPW, from hosting a prevention-themed event to participating in SAMHSA’s social media challenge.
What would you say to your future self about what you’re doing today to ensure a healthier tomorrow?
Share your answer by joining the NPW 2018 Prevention Challenge: Dear Future Me! Visit the NPW Challenge website to learn how you can participate.
