Lights of Hope - International Overdose Awareness Day
Hope brings addiction out of the shadows and into the light! In commemoration of International Overdose Awareness Day, please join Nebraska's Division of Behavioral Health Office of Consumer Affairs of the Department of Health and Human Services at the Nebraska State capital as we come together to:
- Erase stigma and offer hope as people CAN AND DO RECOVER!
- Show support for those in recovery.
- Remember those lost to a substance use related death.
- Offer support and resource information for those still struggling with an addiction.
We will offer a limited number of luminarias (paper lanterns) to line the capital stairs. There will be an opportunity to personalize the bags for yourself or a loved one, and attendees are welcome to bring photos.
