Alcohol Awareness Month Resource and Vendor Fair

April is Alcohol Awareness Month! Join the Students of Addiction Studies Club (SASC) as we kick off the month with our \"AAM Resource and Vendor Fair.\"

Each year since 1987, Alcohol Awareness Month is observed in April to increase public awareness and understanding, reduce stigma, and encourage local communities to focus on alcoholism and alcohol-related issues.

On Tuesday, April 3, from 12:00 pm to 4:30 pm at Governors State University (Illinois), SASC will hosting its “Alcohol Awareness Month Kickoff” event, featuring exhibits and activities geared toward increasing awareness on the dangers of alcohol abuse, the disease of alcoholism, and available prevention, treatment, and recovery support resources. Participants will have the opportunity to obtain free publications and infographics from the AAM Resource Tables; learn more about the neurobiology of alcohol use and alcoholism through the AAM Exhibit Hall; and meet and greet local treatment providers for Q&A and resources at the AAM Vendor Fair. There also will be multiple chances to win a gift from a door prize giveaway!
